Throughout her career, Angela has partnered with organizations across healthcare, education, homelessness, domestic violence prevention, youth development, senior care, and community services throughout the New York metro area.
Her work combines fundraising strategy, donor engagement, communications, public visibility, media storytelling, sponsorship development, gala strategy, and fractional development leadership — helping organizations navigate periods of growth, transition, and transformation.

Angela's Story
My Why
"I didn’t grow up wanting to be a fundraiser. I grew up wanting to help people."
"Fundraising is storytelling first."
"Strong nonprofits strengthen communities."
"I didn’t grow up wanting to be a fundraiser. I grew up wanting to help people."
From a young age, I was drawn to the people and stories that were often overlooked. My mother used to call me the “champion of the underdog,” and looking back, that instinct became the foundation of both my life and my career.
My path into fundraising was not something I planned as much as something I grew into.
Over time, I realized fundraising was never really about money for me. It was about people. Connection. Purpose. And helping organizations communicate why their work matters in a way that inspires others to care, engage, and invest in meaningful change.
"Fundraising is storytelling first."
Throughout my career, I have worked with organizations serving people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, educational inequity, aging-related challenges, illness, and systemic barriers.
What connected all of those experiences was the human story behind the mission.
Whether helping transform a former homeless shelter resident’s story into a record-breaking gala moment, elevating Creative Aging and music therapy programs for older adults living with Alzheimer’s disease, strengthening opportunities for first-generation college students, or helping community organizations find their voice during periods of growth and transition, I have always been most passionate about helping organizations turn mission into movement.
That is why I founded Cimi Consulting. I wanted to bring everything I had learned — strategy, storytelling, fundraising, communications, partnerships, and relationship-building — back to the communities where I live and work.
"Strong nonprofits strengthen communities."
I believe organizations doing life-changing work deserve more than transactional fundraising. They deserve thoughtful strategy, authentic storytelling, meaningful partnerships, and someone who sees possibilities others may overlook.
If your organization is looking for more than a consultant — if you are looking for a strategic partner who will care deeply about your mission, bring creative solutions to the table, and work alongside you to build something meaningful and sustainable — I would love to help tell your story.
And together, help create lasting impact for the communities you serve.

Network & Community
Relationships Matter
One of Cimi’s greatest strengths is our deep-rooted connection to the communities we serve.
After more than 30 years working with nonprofits throughout Westchester County and the greater New York metro area, Cimi has built a broad and trusted network of nonprofit leaders, corporate partners, media professionals, community advocates, government contacts, creatives, vendors, philanthropists, and mission-driven collaborators.
People often joke:
“Angela has a person for everything.”
And more often than not, it’s true.
The Cimi Approach
Beyond Traditional Fundraising
The organizations we work with are often navigating real-world challenges:
Our approach is highly collaborative, hands-on, and rooted in both strategy and implementation.
We work lockstep with organizations to create momentum while simultaneously building long-term infrastructure and sustainable growth.
Strategy without execution is just theory.
We don't believe in a box. Some of the our most impactful work has come from identifying opportunities others overlooked — from transforming storytelling into record-breaking fundraising moments to creating unconventional partnerships, visibility strategies, and community engagement initiatives that expanded both awareness and support.
Because meaningful impact requires both strategy and imagination.
