The Challenge
Founded by an immigrant entrepreneur who recognized that many families in Lower Dutchess County lacked access to the resources and support she herself wished she had upon arriving in the United States, Camino al Éxito sought to strengthen organizational strategy, clarify mission positioning, improve fundraising infrastructure, and better align communications with long-term impact goals focused on underserved youth and families.
The Strategy
As both a strategic advisor and Board member, Angela worked closely with organizational leadership to help reframe and strengthen the organization’s overarching mission and strategic direction.
Together, they refined the organization’s positioning to place youth empowerment and development at the center of the mission, with all supporting services and programming aligned beneath that core focus. This strategic shift required significant reworking of messaging, fundraising narratives, communications materials, and organizational storytelling.
Cimi’s work included:
- Strategic planning and organizational positioning
- Reworking mission-centered messaging and narrative development
- Grant writing and fundraising strategy
- Website and social media messaging guidance
- Collaboration with communications and web development partners
- Event strategy and fundraising support
- Budget review and strategic planning conversations
- Policy development and organizational guidance
- Executive mentorship and leadership support
- Creation of a comprehensive 46-page board book and governance materials
The Impact
The engagement helped Camino al Éxito strengthen organizational clarity, improve strategic alignment, enhance communications consistency, and better position the organization for sustainable growth and expanded philanthropic support.
By helping unify messaging, strengthen governance materials, and align programming beneath a clearer mission-centered strategy, the organization was better positioned to communicate its impact and deepen community engagement throughout Lower Dutchess County.
